Welcome to our comprehensive competency evaluation program, designed to assess and certify individuals in home health aide (HHA) tasks through an alternative evaluation method, ensuring flexibility while upholding standards. Our evaluation comprises various components tailored to measure both theoretical knowledge and practical skills essential for home health aides. The written test, derived from our HHA Curriculum (HCC) and Home Health Related Tasks (HRTC) curricula, evaluates candidates' understanding of crucial information. Additionally, our Procedure Demonstration Checklists assess practical skills required for home health aide tasks, ensuring thorough evaluation. Eligibility for our program is diverse, encompassing nursing assistants with one year of full-time experience in a general hospital within the past five years, individuals with documented training from out-of-state programs, home health aides with documented training who have not worked for 24 consecutive months, nursing students with recent coursework involvement in home health aide tasks, and veterans trained in the United States Military as medical technicians or medics. Documentation requirements vary based on eligibility criteria, including transcripts, course descriptions, skills checklists, and military training records for veterans. For those who demonstrate competency in some areas but not all, additional training is provided as needed, with competency reevaluation targeted only in areas requiring remediation. Upon successful completion of the competency evaluation program, participants are awarded a Certificate of Completion, affirming their competency in home health aide tasks through our methodology. Join us today to embark on a path to certification and career advancement in the healthcare field.
